The Library at Cedar Creek Lake is declaring an amnesty on all patron fines for a period of one week from May 19-24, 2008.
During this period, people who have checked out books in the past, but never returned them for whatever reason, are encouraged to bring them back to the library.
Those who return past due books will be forgiven all fines they owe the library.
However, the library requests that they donate at least one can of non-perishable food for each dollar owed so that the Family Resource Center in Seven Points can help some needy families this summer.
The Library at Cedar Creek Lake is a 501©3 non-profit public library that depends on community donations to finance all its operations.
Therefore, it is important that people return the books that they borrowed from the library.
Moreover, Texas Penal Code regards failure to return books and other materials borrowed from a public library as theft.
Garage Sale
The Teen Board of the Library is organizing a Garage Sale from May 17th through the 19th in the community room of the library.
They are accepting donations (except clothing) for this sale. If you have items to donate please do so as soon as possible. The proceeds from the sale will benefit the Library.
