It’s almost summer, bringing parties, weddings and lake fun, and thanks to a group of area health and beauty professionals and regional businesses, for one lucky winner this summer will be an opportunity for a free total body makeover worth more than $1,500.
From now through June 28, area residents are invited to enter a drawing for a chance to win The First Annual Summer Makeover Extravaganza that includes special beauty and body treatments from head to toe courtesy of Athens, Gun Barrel City, Kaufman, Kemp, Mabank, Seven Points and Tool businesses.
Jill Meglio, a Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics, is coordinating the contest and providing more than $250 in cosmetics for the grand prize winner. The winner also will receive a variety of services from the professionals at Willows Salon. Salon owner Lisa Carroll says the winner will receive hair color and styling by Michelle Martinez, electrolysis by Linda Tarleton, a Deep Tissue Massage by Ramona McDonald, a Spa Pedicure and Manicure by Shayna Spain, and a Microdermabrasion or Beautiful Image Facial by Jo Ann Haywood.
Mabank’s Hydrangea House, Gun Barrel City’s Just for Fun and Kaufman’s Razzl Dazzl Boutique are among the local businesses that will provide special gifts to the contest winner. The Escape in Athens will provide Body Sculpting by Krista Gabel, and the winner also will receive a one month membership to Complete Fitness health club in Kemp. Jamye Perelli Photography will provide a Glamour Portrait for the winner.
The drawing will be held at 7 p.m. June 28 at the Ridgeroom at Lakeridge RV Park in Gun Barrel City. At that time residents and guests can learn more about all the businesses participating in the event and enjoy refreshments and door prizes.
"This is truly a cooperative effort among great businesses from all over our area. We’re hoping lots of people take the opportunity to try to win this great prize package and put the June 28 event on your calendar," Meglio said.
Entry boxes are located in businesses throughout the lake area, Athens, Kaufman and Canton, with more being added every day.
