First Baptist Church holds festival come rain or shine
With the deluge of rain our area has experienced in the past few weeks, FBC Malakoff wants to assure all potential guests of Fall Festival there is no cause for concern.
“The forecast looks great right now for Saturday. But we do want all our visitors to rest assured we have a plan in place should we have inclement weather,” said Ms. Allison Sangenito, Children’s Minister of FBC Malakoff. “So rain or shine…be here!”
Last year FBC Malakoff’s Fall Festival greeted around 1,400 visitors, this year the group is planning for an even larger crowd. Weeks of organizing will provide additional booths, more games, a hay ride, more hot dogs, a huge obstacle course and more.
In addition, there will be great prizes awarded throughout the evening: $50 Wal-Mart gift cards, I-Pod Shuffle, and the grand prize is a Nintendo WII. Those watching the 3 minute story will be eligible for a prize to be awarded at Fall Festival, as well as the national car giveaway at the end of the year.
Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, October 31 from 5-7:30 p.m. on the parking lot of FBC Malakoff, 220 W. Mitcham.
“It is important to us to provide the children of this community a free, safe alternative on Oct. 31. And, as I’ve mentioned before, we can’t wait to see their costumes this year,” said Ms. Allison. “We also want to thank our sponsors, The Malakoff News and KCKL/KLVQ. Without their partnership, and same concern for the community, we would be limited on how many families could be invited to Fall Festival.”
Fall Festival is free, including hot dogs for the entire family. For more information about Fall Festival, contact FBC Malakoff at 903-489-0228 or visit the website, www.fbcmalakoff.com.
