Family Resource Center gets ready to help families for Christmas

The Family Resource Center is getting ready for families that need help at Christmas time with toys and food baskets.

They will be taking applications at the Family Resource Center, in the Tamarack Subdivision on Spring Valley Road, December 7th-18th, Mondays 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 am to 2:30 pm.

The food baskets will be given out on Dec. 21st. You will need social security cards for all the children, food stamp cards (if applies), drivers license and proof of need.

They will have the children make out a wish list, and the Resource Center will help Santa fill it. The requests are not all selfish, some ask for something for their little brothers and sisters or help for their parents.

If you would like to adopt a family, they can help you do that. You can deliver their gifts or they will do it for you. All donations and unwrapped gifts will be gratefully accepted.

If possible, they need gifts for teens. They seem to get fewer gifts for this age than any other. The Family Resources Center wishes evdeyone a good Christmas season.
