Dear Editor:
Attn: Gerry Boren and Councilmen,
The members of the Cedar Creek Domino Club wish to convey our sincere appreciation for your allowing our club to host the 42 tournament.
We had a good turnout and the contest was enjoyed by many of our members as well as several non-members. Some of our members are now aware of the park facilities and Gun Barrel City friendliness.
It is our belief that if you vote to make the festival an annual event, and if we are allowed to continue to host, participation in the tournament and other festival events will grow.
Again, thanks for all of us.
Sincerely,
Lanny Roberts
President

Look Who's Guarding the Henhouse
In 1998 Barney Frank and Chris Dodd were instrumental in getting legislation through President Clinton requiring banks and other mortgage companies to "look the other way" and give mortgages to homebuyers who could not afford the payments on the homes they were looking to purchase.
