SEVEN POINTS- Another arrest was made Friday for manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, over a gram, less than 4 grams a second degree felony.
Ryan Michael Martin, 30, was the second man in Seven Points arrested in a week for drug trafficking.
Investigators Ronny Halbert, Darrell Waller, David Faught and Kenny Collard responded to the situation.
According to Henderson County Sheriff Ray Nutt, Drug Enforcement Unit Investigators observed a white Saturn traveling at a high rate of speed down County Road 2139, west of Seven Points.
When law enforcement attempted conduct a traffic top on the vehicle, the driver raced to an even higher speed, in attempt to get away.
Traffic on Farm to Market Road 85 stopped the Saturn as it approached the intersection of CR 2139 and FM 85.
At this time, investigators ordered the driver to toss his windows out the window so he would not drive away and he complied.
He was asked if there was anything illegal in the car, and he confessed that there was some methamphetamine inside the car.
A quantity of the substance believed to be methamphetamine, baggies used for packaging for sale, syringes and digital scales commonly used for measuring the drug for sale were all found in a small black bag in the console of the seat.
Martin was transported to Henderson County Justice Center in Athens for the charges of manufacture delivery controlled substance over 1 gram, under 4 grams, which is a second degree felony.
His bond was not set at press time.
