KC Sheriff serves warrants
After a two month investigation sheriff’s office cracks down on drug trafficking
KAUFMAN- Investigators throughout the county have whipped up 35 wanted for narcotics-related warrants.
After two months of investigation, more than 40 arrest warrants were issued in Kaufman County, some of which were double-warrants on certain individuals.
The warrants are out for those involved in narcotics use and/or trafficking in Kaufman County.
Thus far, the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 14 of those on the warrant list including two lake area individuals, one from Kemp and one from Mabank.
Several agencies worked together to create the list and to make these arrests, including the police offices and cities of Kaufman, Terrell, Crandall, Seagoville and Forney.
Collectively, investigators bought and confiscated two ounces of crack cocaine worth about $2100, over a pound of methamphetamine valued at about $45,000 and around $1000 worth of various pills.
The following are the 14 people who have been arrested so far.
Mabank resident Gwendora Collins Cano, 57, was arrested on two charges: manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, (a first degree felony) and manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone, (a third degree felony.) She was arrested at 165 VZ County Road 2436.
From Kemp, Jerry Jeff Culver, 27, was arrested and charged with possession and transfer of anhydrous ammonia ( commonly found as a by-product of meth making,) possession and transportation of a chemical with intent to manufacture, a third degree felony.
Valencia Collier, 28, of Kaufman, was arrested at 1111 East First North, Kaufman and charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone, a third degree felony.
Also in Kaufman, at 7324 Silverado Loop, Jerry lee Thron, 39, of Kaufman was arrested and charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, a second degree felony.
In Terrell, Juan Antonio Alonzo, 21, from Terrell was arrested at 16482 Goss Lane and charged with two counts of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, both first degree felonies.
Ana Alicia Rosa, 43, of Terrell, was arrested at the same Goss Lane address and charged with two separate charges of delivery of a controlled substance, both first degree felonies.
Tommie Louise Messenger, 60, of Terrell was arrested at 6453 County Road 132, in Terrell. She was charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, a second degree felony.
At 202 S Washington in Kaufman, Jerry Lee Tharp, 52, was arrested for delivery of marijuana in a drug free zone, a third degree felony.
From Rosser, Celina Eldridge, 41, was arrested in Kaufman at 105 Coleman St. and charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone, a third degree felony.
In Kaufman at Stevie’s BBQ, Henry Williams, 61, of Kaufman, was arrested under two separate charges: delivery of marijuana in a drug free zone and delivery of marijuana, both State Jail Felonies.
Desaree Moyeda, 20, of Kaufman was arrested at 1601 S. Park St. in Kaufman. She has been charged with delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone, a second degree felony.
Moyeda was also arrested for outstanding warrants from Hunt County for theft of property by check over 20, under 500 and also a warrant from Kaufman Police Department for Capias.
In Terrell, a DPS traffic stop found James Cleveland Jones, 32, of Terrell. They arrested him for an outstanding warrant from Terrell PD and a Kaufman County warrant for delivery of a controlled substance, a first degree felony.
Amanda Tanewshia Simpson, 22, of Terrell, was arrested at 105 Lovers Lane, Apt 5 by DPS officers and charged with delivery of a controlled substance, which is a first degree felony.
She also had three outstanding warrants for theft of property by check, over $20, under $500, and another Terrell Police Department warrant.
Two separate charges were dropped on Tiwanna Denise Hickman, 30, of Terrell, when she was arrested at 211 Laroe St. in Terrell. She was charged twice with delivery of a controlled substance, a first degree felony.
In a news release, Sheriff David A. Byrnes stated that he would like to thank each agency that assisted in the combined effort to bring about the arrests, including the following:
• Kaufman Police Department,
• Terrell Police Department,
• Crandall Police Department,
• Seagoville Police Department,
• Forney Police Department,
• members from the Texas Department of Public Safety,
• officials from the U. S. Marshal’s Office and,
• the Kaufman County District Attorney’s Office.
