HC Fire Marshall resigns
Henderson County Fire Marshall John Holcomb of Mabank has resigned his position to accept the same position in Forney.
County Commissioners accepted Holcomb's resignation at last Tuesday's regularly-scheduled Henderson County Commissioners meeting. He was praised for his work by County Judge David Holstein and other commissioners, who said they hated to lose him.
Holcomb, in turn, said he was grateful for the experience in Henderson County and that making the decision to change jobs had been a difficult one.
He reports for work in Kaufman County on Jan. 11.
