Mildred Baxter
Mildred Baxter, 1914-2009 a long time resident of Enchanted Oaks, passed away Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born in Missouri, and lived in Dallas before moving to the Cedar Creek Lake area.
She loved lake life, and made her home and garden lush and beautiful with her “green thumb.” She delighted in digging in the dirt, and watching what she had planted grow and thrive.
Mildred enjoyed sharing her knowledge; as she did with so many.
She is preceded in death by her son Barry Culwell.
She is survived by her husband, Calvin Baxter; daughter Sue Cook; grandchildren Craig Cook, Christi Rose and husband, Randy, Carla Boyd, Terri Wilmon and husband, Alyn; great grandchildren Bridgette Rounsaval, Zachary Neighbors and wife, Amy, Derrick Neighbors, B. B. Boyd, Josh Rogalisky; step-granddaughter Michela Rose; great great grandaughters Skylar Rounsaval and Katelyn Sue Neighbors; step great great grandsons Christian and Caden Rose; nephews Jeff and Roger Kirkpatrick; her special caregivers Paulene Moore, Bobby Denson and Sue Sawyer; and a host of loving friends.
We will be celebrating our “G.G.”s 95 year of life at the Enchanted Oaks Town Hall Saturday, Nov. 7 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, with Eston Williams officiating the memorial.
She was loved by many, will be missed dearly, and is now peaceful!
“Old gardners never die...they just spade away.”
