Eustace hosts Roundball hoop tournament
Talk about home-court advantage; the Eustace Lady Dogs are hosting their own tournament Wednesday, and guess who’ll be their first opponent?
The Eustace B team. It could be one of the first upsets, too.
Maybe not. Tip off is at 4:30 p.m. in the two-day tournament.
The 10-team tournament actually got under way at 9 a.m. Thursday when Palestine was slated to meet Quitman.
That game was to be followed by Alba and Van at 10:30 p.m.
T.K. Gorman was scheduled to meet Fruitvale in a noon game Thursday.
Palestine Westwood was to follow at 3 p.m. with a game against Cross Roads.
Only then, will the Eustace A team get to play it’s B team, ideally at 4:30 p.m.
The TK Gorman-Fruitvale winner takes on the Palestine-Quitman winner at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
And, the Westwood-Cross Roads winner takes on the winner of the Eustace-Eustace B winner at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
The losers of the above games play on Friday at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. respectively.
The loser of the Westwood-Cross Roads game and the Eustace-Eustace B game, meet at 11 a.m. Friday.
The semifinals are set for Friday at 12:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. Friday.
The championship contest will be played at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
